Happy new year! With 2024 now underway there is much discussion as to what the 2024 wedding trends will be, here are some of Wedition's predictions!

Could wedding crests be a 2024 wedding trend?

We saw an increase of the use of logos in 2023 but now we are thinking that wedding crests will be a hit. A wedding crest is a symbolic design presenting the union of a couple. The crests could use the couple's names and initials as well as a meaningful emblem. A wedding crest adds a personal touch to the celebration as well as a touch of heritage. The crest can be used on all the wedding stationery and can be incorporated on to the wedding cake.

Real Wedition Weddings: S&A had a simple wedding crest designed for their wedding day which was used on all their wedding stationery as well as some of the decor, we of course included their wedding crest within their personalised wedding magazine which showcased their love story and was given to guests on their wedding day as a remarkable keepsake.

Split the wedding and have the ceremony Friday, the party on Saturday - a 2024 wedding trend

Splitting the ceremony and party into two totally different days ensures couples can have unlimited possibilities for the party by choosing any location, selecting a time that suits the couple, a wedding menu that perhaps would be totally different to one that they would have at the venue, and the dress code could also be as flexible or as formal as they wish, so many more options but without impacting the ceremony and its importance.

Drone shows - a 2024 wedding trend

Wedding drone shows are more environmentally friendly than a firework display thanks to the absence of smoke and they offer more personalisation and choreography. They are not as loud as a firework displays meaning that there is not likely to be any strict rules imposed by venues.

Celebrant lead weddings leading the way in 2024

According to Hitched "there’s been a 49% increase in search volume for ‘celebrant weddings’ in the past year with 880 monthly searches now taking place" "showing a clear trend for unique wedding ceremonies.”
